Over the past 15+ years, I’ve guided yoga teachers and movement educators into a deeper understanding of fascia — grounded in science, shaped through experience, and always rooted in embodied truth.

I was part of the original team around Dr. Robert Schleip, who pioneered international fascia research and the development of the now well-established principles for fascia training and have spent the last decade integrating this knowledge into yoga: not as fitness, but as a living, sensing practice.

My work brings together:

Why Fascia may be the missing

Fascia is the body’s connective tissue network.

It weaves through and around muscles, bones, organs, vessels and nerves — holding everything together, while allowing it to glide, move and adapt.

Anatomically, fascia is made of collagen, elastin, water and millions of sensory nerve endings.

Functionally, it: transmits movement and force, stores elastic energy, supports proprioception and interoception, regulates fluidity, resilience and responsiveness, plays a role in pain modulation and emotional processing

But here’s the problem:

In most yoga teacher trainings, fascia is still overlooked — or reduced to foam rolling and passive stretching. And that has consequences.

When fascia is not sufficiently stimulated — through varied, intelligent, tissue-specific movement — it becomes dense, dry, and stuck.

As a result movement feels tight or effortful, perception becomes dull, students disconnect from their own bodies, teaching becomes repetitive or technical, emotional regulation through the body is limited.

Fascia is not a trend. It’s a living system. And it changes everything about how we move and teach yoga.

That’s why I created Integral Fascial Yoga:
